5 Ways to Wear Your Retro Wedding Dress
We love seeing all our brides on their wedding day and how they have styled their retro wedding dress. Our vintage style wedding gowns are so versatile that there are many ways to wear them. Below are five different ways you can wear your retro wedding dress.

Go Totally Retro Themed Wedding
From wearing your hair in a retro style to choosing a retro theme for your wedding, a tea length wedding dress is a great option. The great thing about a retro wedding dress is that you get to show off your shoes, so a pair of beautiful vintage style shoes will finish the look off completely.
Sunshine Weddings
Our vintage style wedding dresses are great for overseas weddings as they travel well. Being light and easy to wear and take abroad makes it a great option. Our brides have traveled all over the world wearing their tea length wedding dresses, from beaches to towns and everything in between. Don’t forget how easy it is to dance in your 1950s style skirt too, our brides love to twirl in their dresses.
After trying on a variety of vintage style wedding dresses in our Bexley boutique, our bride kept coming back to the lovely Polly by Timeless Chic. She already knew that she wanted a lace tea length wedding dress so it was an easy decision in the end. A fantastic option for a wedding in Barbados.
Keep it Small & Intimate Weddings
Short wedding dresses are very popular for registry office weddings and intimate weddings. Being able to dress a short wedding gown up or down is a great feature. Choosing this type of wedding dress is particularly good if you are having a non traditional wedding. Our brides often wear short wedding dresses if they are moving between two venues as they find the full skirts so easy to move in.
Wear it Again Wedding Dresses
Retro wedding dress designs are so versatile that you can wear them again and again. A short wedding dresses can be worn on your wedding day and then again for other special occasions. Adding petticoats (or taking them away) and choosing different shoes and perhaps wearing a jacket can totally change the look.
The beautiful retro wedding dress this bride fell in love with was a Loulou Bridal strapless satin wedding dress. It has a fitted bodice with a sweetheart bust-line which gives a beautiful silhouette to the wedding dress. She coupled this with a Timeless Chic back to front off the shoulder lace jacket that gave her the pretty bardot neckline during the day.
Bespoke Wedding Dress
We have lots of brides visiting our Bexley Boutique and help them find their special wedding dress. Being able to try on a variety of wedding dress styles allows the bride to pick elements of different dresses. Most of the designer short wedding dresses we stock are custom made in the length, colour or style for each bride. On top of that we have access to a wonderful seamstress who can make further changes like adding lace and changing other aspects of the wedding gown.
Liz chose Loulou Annette in satin/silk organza. She then chose a black bodice and ivory skirt for a different look. This alternative wedding dress oozes old hollywood glamour with the ruched Bodice and deep V neck. This is echoed on the back of the dress too and gives way to a layered floaty organza skirt.
