Retro Style Wedding Dress – Vegas Wedding

An overseas wedding is a fantastic option for couples to share their day with family and friends. Ross & Siobhan got married in June 2022 at the Flamingo hotel in Las Vegas. They held the wedding at the hotel and had the reception at a Las Vegas Aviators baseball game. Siobhan wore a beautiful retro style wedding dress.

Retro Style Wedding Dress

Siobhan had already decided she wanted to look for a shorter wedding dress so found us online. She saw a tea length wedding dress she liked but had an open mind when she came to her appointment. Siobhan tried a selection of retro style wedding dress designs but ultimately felt the first one was the one for her. 

I knew I wanted a short wedding dress, I just knew a full length dress wasn’t me. 

Wedding Day Details

Siobhan fell in love with Birdie by LouLou Bridal which is a retro style wedding dress design. It has a high neck and a plunging V neck at the back. The waist has a pretty belt detail and flows into a full 1950s style skirt with petticoats. This was a fantastic choice as the heat in Vegas was around 42 degrees on their wedding day.

The experience was great, I had seen the one I picked on the website previously, tried quite a few at the shop but ultimately felt the one I chose was the one for me.

Siobhan wore her hair down with a hip length veil and chose white satin heels to finish her look. Ross wore a light blue suit and white shirt to keep cool during the heat. Siobhan also carried a bouquet of roses with a matching button hole for Ross.

For an overseas wedding a tea length wedding dress is ideal, the dresses travel well and are lightweight. They are also versatile and can take you from venue to venue very easily. Siobhan and Ross carried on their non-traditional wedding day with a reception at the ballpark as they both love baseball. The ballpark had an area that has a swimming pool in it which is also very unusual but perfect for the heat and Siobhan was able to have a quick dip to cool her down.
