Lucy and Mike got married in October in Hertfordshire and their venue was the idyllic London Shenley Club. The beautiful Hertfordshire countryside was the perfect backdrop. Lucy knew she wanted a vintage inspired short wedding dress and had her heart set on one in particular. Vintage Inspired Short Wedding Dress

Lucy had already looked online at our website when she booked her appointment to visit. She was the only bride in our wedding boutique so we could take time to try as many wedding dresses as she liked.

I knew what I wanted and CEB kept coming up in my search so it was the first appointment I booked

Lucy tried on several short wedding dresses before she found the one she’d already set her heart on. She chose a vintage style flowery short wedding dress with beautiful 3D flowers over the bodice. The sweetheart neckline and fitted bodice gave way to sheer sleeves featuring cuffs with pretty bow details.  This was mirrored in the wide neckline which is very reminiscent of the 1950s style.

Everything was perfect.  They had the majority of the dresses I wanted to try on and had the one I really had my heart set on……and chose.  

The beautiful plain tulle skirt flowed easily and is very retro in design. This is the perfect mix of pretty and show stopping which she was complimented on by her guests. Lucy had a fitting with our amazing seamstress and had a few alterations so that her retro wedding dress fitted perfectly on the day. 

I felt like a million dollars and the swirl on the skirt when I was dancing was fabulous – I always knew I wanted a short dress.  

Wedding Details

Lucy wore her hair up, carried a bouquet of beautiful cream roses and she teamed a pair of vintage nude heels with her short wedding dress. Mike complimented his bride in a navy three piece suit and burgundy tie and had a cream rose buttonhole.

I felt like a million dollars and the swirl on the skirt when I was dancing was fabulous – I always knew I wanted a short dress.  

Lucy felt that one of the things that stood out for them was the love in the room when they got married. They were surrounded by their favourite people and had the best day possible.
