Calf Length Wedding Dress to Dance In
Adrian and Janine got married at the All Saints Hotel in Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. They had a fun filled wedding day and celebrated in style in the stunning surroundings of the hotel. The couple were keen to make the day personal to them and it started with Janine choosing a calf length wedding dress that she could dance in. Their day was captured by their photographer Juan Muino Photography.
It was great that I could choose a calf length, I am tall so having this option was a real good one for me.
Calf Length Wedding Dress
Janine, at her consultation, tried on lots of different types of vintage style wedding dresses. She knew she wanted a shorter wedding dress but was happy to hear our suggestions. With each tea length wedding dress she tried we got closer to her perfect wedding dress.(
It was fantastic – I was able to try a good number of dresses on and the dress I ordered was suggested by Suzanne from the comments I was making
She chose a beautiful calf length wedding dress that she was able to move easily in. One of her requirements was that she had to be able to dance in her retro wedding dress. The couple had a choreographed first dance planned so Janine needed to glide around the dance floor.
We wanted to do a choreographed first dance to LOVE by Nat King Cole so I knew that I wanted a dress that I could dance in without any constraints.
As Janine is tall she felt more comfortable in a calf length wedding dress that gently swayed as she moved. The stunning wedding dress she chose has an illusion neckline and a fitted lace bodice. With lace down the three quarter length sleeves this gives a really pretty and delicate look. This is a great option as an illusion neckline gives instant glamour as well as coverage. It’s finished with a pretty details and flows onto a full tulle skirt which has lace embellishment trickling down it. The skirt is soft and floaty and moves easily which is fantastic to wear on the dance floor.
As soon as I put it on I knew it was the one for me.
Wedding Day Details
Janine wore satin shoes and carried a hand tied bouquet of roses and foliage. Her hair was gathered with a beautiful diamonte clasp. Adrian chose a dapper checked three piece suit and had a single rose buttonhole to compliment his wifes.
I felt amazing in the dress – It was so comfortable and fitted perfectly – It made me smile and all the family and guests said what a stunning dress it was.
Janine changed into some white pumps to get serious about their dance routine and their guests loved it. All the while Janine felt confident that she could carry off the moves as they’d practiced in the lead up to their big day. This is one of the reasons why we like to keep consultations relaxed and calm. As a bride you can feel confident that the wedding dress you choose is right for you.
When we did our dance it looked and I felt fabulous!!!
The couple wanted to make their day special by putting as much of their personalities into it as possible. Janine created the table centre pieces, collecting old coffee pots and vintage items. She also made crepe paper button holes for all the guests which made it a special and very personal day.
