A Barbados Wedding with a Lace Tea Length Wedding Dress

Today we bring you some November sunshine all the way from Barbados for this lovely couple. They got married at the Colony Club on the West Coast, surrounded by stunning palm trees, tropical gardens and golden sands. The couple used the in-house wedding planner, hair and make up artist so everything was ready for them to tie the knot. Our bride wore a pretty lace tea length wedding dress.

Lace Tea Length Wedding Dress

After trying on a variety of vintage style wedding dresses in our Bexley boutique, our bride kept coming back to the lovely Polly. She already knew that she wanted a lace tea length wedding dress so it was an easy decision in the end.

It was the first dress I tried on, then tried on lots of others but it remained my favourite.

Polly by Timeless Chic is a pretty 1950s inspired tea length wedding dress with sleeves. The lace bodice gives way to a full 50s style skirt with lace applique, the lace detail also travels across the neckline and down the sleeves. The back of the dress dips into a wide v and has button fastening detail. It is a beautiful, classic design with a modern day twist that makes it a popular wedding dress with our brides.

I knew I wanted a tea length 50s style dress. 

Timeless Chic is our in house designer wedding dress collection, these are unique to our bridal boutique. With beautiful bead work and intricate lace, each dress is stunning.

Our bride to be finished the look with a wide crystal sash and wore her hair up with a birdcage veil.  With bright vintage inspired t-bar shoes and carrying a beautiful bouquet of tropical blooms the look was complete.

I loved my dress, it was the exact look I wanted!

Her husband to be chose a pair of cream trousers, open shirt and a tweed waistcoat. He also had a tropical flower as his buttonhole and was perfect for the Barbados sunshine.

Wedding Day Details

Their intimate wedding was a small family gathering and celebrated with champagne, rum and coconut cake. In the evening they had a private four course dinner on their patio.

Our day was very relaxed, It was the perfect day!

They had spent the morning of their wedding on the beach and got ready together before the ceremony. The bride told us their wedding day was exactly how they’d hoped, relaxed, intimate and beautiful.
