Real Brides Wedding Decoration Ideas
There are lots of ways to make your wedding day special and bespoke and these can be created by you or for you. Make it fun or less formal, pretty or vintage style, no matter your preference there will be a way to decorate your wedding to suit. We’ve put together some of the ways our real brides have decorated to give you some inspiration to add to your own wedding decoration ideas.
Flowers
Whether you want to keep it simple of go really elaborate, working with flowers is a great way to get the look. The florist you choose will be able to tell you want can be done at your venue of choice to create a stunning look. This gorgeous design created for Markella and Jonathan’s wedding day give a real wow factor.
Backdrops & Lights
Using a simple statement backdrop can elevate your wedding day to a show stopping day. Laura and John added streamers and pretty paper decorations to create a stunning backdrop for their wedding cake. The ‘Love’ lights finish the look and add a focal point too.
Bunting
To create a rustic vibe or to enhance a vintage style wedding theme there is nothing better than bunting. It can be DIY or created for you but whatever you decide it looks fab on the day and great in photographs. Emma and Stuart knew they wanted a 1950s retro feel to their wedding day. Bunting looks great whatever the venue and it’s also a great keepsake of your wedding day.
A Theme
A theme for your wedding day can tie every aspect of your day together. We loved the Alice in Wonderland theme that Jessica and Daniel chose, the colours are so vibrant and cheeful. A wedding theme lets your guests see your joint personalities together whilst also adding an aspect of fun to your wedding day. It doesn’t have to be elaborate, adding subtle themes will make you feel like its totally your day but also going all out is a great idea. It’s a day that you can create the way you want so make it memorable.
Fabulous Stationery
Wedding stationery is a great way to add uniqueness your venue, these song request cards are a brilliant touch. A great tip from Carly in our our 7 top tips for perfect stationery is: “If you have seen some extravagant invitations that are exactly what you want but need to make your budget stretch, make your money go further by ordering them just for your wedding day guests. Then choose a simpler, matching invitation for your evening guests.” Adding name cards to the tables and having a table plan that you’ve made or chosen especially can add the personal touch to your day.
