Four Fantastic Wedding Themes for Short Wedding Dresses
Sometimes couples have ideas beforehand on how they want their wedding day to look. It may be a certain colour scheme or theme around a famous film or book. Or if you are unsure on what you want then read on for some ideas and advice. Here are four fantastic wedding themes for short wedding dresses that go with them.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s
This was a classic 1950s film starring Audrey Hepburn and features lots of great full skirted dresses. So this is definitely a theme you can use when wearing a tea length wedding dress.
This gorgeous short wedding dress is Claire by House of Mooshki. It’s a divine spotty and lace short calf length wedding dress. The illusion spotty neckline and scallop edge trim in French corded lace is breathtaking. It’s matched with a duck egg blue bow belt which of course is the Tiffany colours.
This colour theme of white and blue can carry on through the decorations for the invites and also the venue. Shoes could be very much the same colour ways. Alternatively the black and white theme would also work well with pearl drapes and splashes of duck egg blue.
Alice in Wonderland
You can have so much fun with this theme and it’s great for a short wedding dress. Our real couple Jessica and Daniel created their wedding around this theme and the bridesmaids were all dressed in gorgeous colours too. Jessica wore Tiana by Rita Mae and created a magical look with her flowers and shoes.
Tiana by Rita Mae. Is a pretty tea length short wedding dress. It has cap sleeves and a lace sweetheart neckline bodice. The sparkly tulle and lace full skirt twinkles with every move.
This is such a gorgeous and fun retro wedding theme that you can do lots with. A great option is wearing a leather jacket like our bride Markella did, this gives the overall look a real retro edge. Decorating your venue with a duke box and lots of DIY decorations will make this feel like 1950’s. Wearing lots of petticoats and some retro looking shoes will add to this vibe too.
The dress she chose was the gorgeous and ultra feminine Molly Mae 1950s vintage style wedding dress by True Bride. It’s a beautiful tea length wedding dress with a 1950s retro edge. She styled it with amazing petticoats and some scene stealing shoes that really added to the retro feel.
When it comes to fairytale weddings, think lots of greenery and beautiful flowers dotted around the venue. We have some very whimsical short wedding dresses that will hit the spot. Charlotte by House of Mooshki is a lace and tulle short wedding gown. The wonderful ivory guipure lace flows over the arms and bodice and sweeps across the skirt. It has long sleeves and a sheer back also decorated in lace.
Team this with some fantastic shoes and a cascading bouquet and it has the elements of a fairytale wedding.
