Buying Their Dresses
Now this really depends on your wedding budget and the cost of the dresses. The general consensus is that if you want your bridesmaids to wear a particular dress then you expect to pay for it. However, if you are on a budget, it may be an option to at least pay for part of the bridesmaids gowns.
Don’t Ask Them to Wear Something You Wouldn’t
This is a biggie and something that can cause friction if not to everyone’s taste. It’s also a dress that they won’t wear again if they don’t like it which becomes a waste.
Different Age/Size Bridesmaids
It can be difficult to get dresses that suit all ages and sizes so perhaps think of matching the older bridesmaids separately to the younger ones. Or match by colour instead of style because that way you are more likely to get a dress that each bridesmaid feels comfortable in. Or go for separates and everyone can wear the same style skirt and slightly different top or visa versa.
Stick to Your Budget
Once you’ve agreed the style of outfit you’d like then perhaps shop around or try the sales. Lots of bargains can be found that way. Another way to stay within budget is to opt for occasion wear rather than dedicated bridesmaids dresses. This gives your bridesmaids an opportunity to wear their outfit again rather than getting stuffed at the back of the wardrobe.
Accessories
If you do go for different styles, colours or dresses then the accessories could be what ties it all together for you. The same colour sash on their dresses or necklaces or even a matching pashmina.
