Ways to Stay Calm Before Your Wedding
Organising a wedding can get stressful with all the things you need to remember and arrange. So it’s a good idea to follow our top tips on ways you can stay calm before your wedding day. It’s a time of high emotions and lots of different people having their input so it can get overwhelming. Your wedding is about marrying the person you love so these tips will helpfully make the lead up to your big day as stress free as possible.
By making sure you have everything planned out and ready to go will reduce the stress. A simple spreadsheet will suffice. A quick glance will help you know that everything is as it should be. This will also make it easier to delegate and don’t be afraid to do this. Ask for help and let people know what you need them to do.
Double Check With Suppliers
Make sure that all your suppliers from florist to cake designer, know where and what time they need to have things ready for your big day. This will help you stay calm, by knowing there will be no surprises on the day. Double check that you have all the correct contact numbers in case you need to get hold of them on or just before your wedding day.
Pick up your dress in plenty of time
Have a final dress fitting and make sure the dress is comfortable. Store your dress somewhere that it can have room to hang before the wedding. Take Some Time Out
Try and relax, do something that isn’t wedding related; go for a walk, read a book, go out for a meal with your fiancé. Meet up with friends and just relax. Take care of yourself and eat well and sleep and pamper yourself when you can.
Acknowledge Your Nerves
You’ve been working towards this day for a while and you want it to go well. Of course you will be nervous and excited. Write down your feelings, talk to your family and fiancé and you’ll realise everyone gets nervous. Give yourself a mantra for the day that you can repeat in the run up to it as well “I am calm, I am excited” or “My future awaits”
Most of all just enjoy the process, it’s an exciting time of your life and you’ll be surrounded by your loved ones whilst declaring your love for your partner. It will be a happy occasion to look back on and reminisce.
