Wedding in Bath – Tea Length Vintage Style Dress
Sophie and Steve married in Bath at the famous Pump Room and Roman Baths and shared their day with us. Sophie came to us as she knew she wanted to wear a short wedding dress. Before she chose her gorgeous tea length vintage style dress she already thought she knew what she wanted. At her appointment she fell in love with a totally different wedding dress. Read on to find out more about the wedding.
Walking into the shop was amazing, it was like stepping into a sweet shop.
Tea Length Vintage Style Dress
Sophie knew before coming to our Bexley Bridal Boutique that she wanted to try on Rita by Loulou Bridal. She travelled from Cardiff to try wedding dresses for our extensive collection of Tea Length vintage style dress designs. Knowing already that was her favoured style. She had her eye on Rita by Loulou Bridal from the website which has long sleeves and a lace bodice. Whilst she was at Cutting Edge Brides us she decided to try on Ruby also by Loulou and instantly fell in love.
Once I’d tried it on, nothing else compared. Suzanne will probably confirm that I didn’t want to take it off. Love at first sight!
We only have one bride in the boutique, to concentrate on making sure they find their dream wedding dress. Ruby by Loulou Bridal is a stunning tea length vintage style dress with a dramatic off the shoulder bodice. The rouched bodice gives way to a soft floaty full 1950s style skirt that swishes and sways as you move. Loulou gowns are extremely luxurious and comfortable.
[It was] Pure joy and definitely worth the journey. Suzanne was really kind and helpful, without making me feel pressured.
Wedding Day Details
Sophie wore a cream fur stole and carried an exquisite hand tied bouquet of bright blooms. Her hair was worn down with a pearl headband finished with a veil. Peeping out from beneath her calf length wedding dress were a pair of Irregular choice sparkly vintage style shoes.
I like dressing in vintage-style clothing, so wearing a shorter dress with a huge skirt felt just right for me, and it had excellent swoosh!
Steve wore a classic navy suit and tie, his button hole was a single rose which complimented his stunning bride. The couple married in the Drawing Room with a reception in the Pump Room restaurant. They were treated to a live band and afternoon tea to finish off their celebrations.
I was walking up some stairs holding my skirt up, and as I got to the top and let the skirt flow out again, there was a little girl passing by who said “woowwwww”
