A Colourful Wedding Day in London

We can’t wait to share this visually stunning and very colourful wedding day that Paige and Benjamin kindly sent us. The couple married in Blackheath, London in September 2019 at Kingdom Hall Of Jehovahs Witnesses and their reception was at The Princess of Wales in Primrose Hill.

Our bride, Paige, already knew she wanted a vintage style wedding dress before her first visit to our Bexley boutique. She had seen the short wedding dress she wanted on our website so came ready to try it on.

I knew I wanted a short dress because I had a fitting before I came to Cutting Edge Brides and I found my dress on your website!

A Beautiful Bespoke Wedding Dress

Paige chose Valerie by Loulou Bridal which is a beautiful satin and lace vintage inspired wedding dress. The straps sit gently just off the shoulders and it has a deep v-neck bodice with a bow detail and delicate lace flows over the entire dress.

Loulou Bridal is an award winning British designer label that creates stunning 1950s style wedding dresses that are light and easy to wear. Our bride had a definite style in mind and we were more than happy to help create the look she wanted.

It was really lovely, super relaxed and everyone was so friendly! They accommodated my slightly unusual style and helped me make adjustments to the dress.

Paige wore a full and very colourful petticoat with her short wedding gown so her guests caught a glimpse of this splash of colour as she walked down the aisle. She finished the look with a delicate multicoloured bejewelled belt and wore her hair up which accentuated the pretty neckline of the dress.

Colourful Wedding Day

With the beautiful classic fit of the lace wedding dress she wore a pair of stunning hand painted toadstool and fairy concept heeled Irregular Choice shoes. Her bouquet echoed this look with beautiful roses and colourful blooms that were hand tied with ribbons. The bridesmaids wore long pink dresses with a flower pattern and carried flowers that matched Paige’s bouquet.

I still felt like a princess and I LOVE SHOES so was so happy to be able to show off my beautiful Irregular Choice shoes

The Bridal Party Wore Pink

Benjamin wore a striped suit and pink shirt which he teamed with a blue tie also with flower detail on it. The groomsmen wore blush pink suits that brought the whole look together in an explosion of stunning colours. The whole wedding really accentuated the couples personalities and they travelled in style to their venue in a classic style London bus. They were also lucky that their suppliers were all friends which made the day extra special and meaningful.

Travelling through London in the sun drinking Asti was amazing!
