St Lucia Destination Wedding – Tulle Tea Length Wedding Gown

Karl and Yvonne got married in St Lucia, last May surrounded by beautiful beaches and tropical gardens. The ceremony was held in a beach pavilion followed by a sunset cruise around the island. Yvonne wore a Tulle tea length wedding gown which she took to her destination wedding.

The dress was beautiful!

Tulle Tea Length Wedding Gown

At our Bexley wedding boutique, Yvonne was open to trying lots of different styles of tea length wedding dresses. She knew she wanted a short vintage style wedding dress but was fairly open to the details. Before arriving she thought she wanted sleeves but once she found her dream wedding dress she realised it wasn’t important.

The wedding dress that Yvonne fell in love with was Tilly – Brighton Belle by True Bride and it’s a gorgeous tulle and satin Ivory wedding dress. It has an off the shoulder Bardot neckline with a pretty lace applique bodice. The slim beaded waistband gives way to more lace applique on the full 1950s style skirt.

I knew I wanted a short vintage look dress, but thought I wanted sleeves until I tried this dress on.

Wedding Day Details

Yvonne wore a pair of white embellished heels and wore her hair down with a flower one side. She kept her jewellery simple and classic which further emphasised her beautiful short wedding gown.

After the sunset cruise the guest enjoyed the reception in the French restaurant on site. The venue took care of organising the day so Yvonne and Karl could fully relax and enjoy themselves.

Cutting Edge were brilliant, they pulled out dresses they thought would suit me and made it a special day. 

Destination Wedding Day

Yvonne took her dress with her to St Lucia for the wedding. Short wedding gowns are light and can be easily transported overseas. We can advise how to best travel with a tea length wedding dress.

Her choice of wedding gown was perfect for the type of wedding she had planned. The tulle skirt is light and floaty and perfect for sunnier climates. The off the shoulder style allows the bride to stay cool whatever the temperature and the length of gown makes walking on sand easy (even if high heels don’t!)

The day was amazing, walking on the beach with heels not so easy 

Karl wore a linen suit and wore deck shoes to keep his look casual and cool. Yvonne carried a cascade bouquet of exotic flowers native to the country.
