Sunflowers in Portugal – Bespoke Tea Length Wedding Dress

We’ve got lots of sunshine to share with you today from one of our gorgeous brides on her wedding day. Robin and Kate got married under the glorious sun in the beautiful Quinta Bonita hotel, Portugal recently with their family and friends. The stunning images were captured by Birch Photography and Kate chose to wear a bespoke tea length wedding dress.

Bespoke Tea Length Wedding Dress

Kate and Robin had a small and intimate wedding nestled among the lemon groves and overlooking the sea. The couple married this year so weren’t sure whether Lock down would prevent their wedding day happening but luckily it still went ahead.

Kate chose a beautiful bespoke tea length wedding dress with elements from our Timeless Chic collection. The fitted bodice is covered with pretty intricate lace and has a deep v neck and cap sleeves. This was the perfect short wedding dress for Kate in the sunshine as the light material meant she wasn’t overwhelmed.

The full 1950s style skirt was dotted with lace applique and had a beautiful sway as she moved. Timeless Chic is our in house wedding dress collection and you won’t find it in any other wedding boutiques.

Bespoke Short Wedding Dresses

Kate wanted elements from different short wedding dresses so we adapted one to suit her needs. With years of experience, our consultants spend time with our brides to find out what they like and how their perfect wedding dress should look. We then suggest things that can work well together or different ways of working with the material.

Kate’s tea length wedding dress was custom made, as are most of our wedding gowns. Often they can be made in different colour ways and designs. Our seamstress can also further adapt the wedding dresses depending on the needs of the bride.

Wedding Day Details

Kate carried a beautiful bouquet of sunflowers which were also used around the venue. She wore a pair of Mary Jane style satin shoes and wore a birdcage veil.  Robin stayed cool in the sunshine without a jacket and wore a blue bowtie.

I felt amazing and looking back on our photos has put such a smile on my face!

The couple celebrated after the ceremony with a sit down meal on the terrace where they enjoyed the best of Portugal’s cuisine. There was a relaxed Mediterranean alfresco feel to their big day.

We had an amazing day, I felt amazing in my dress! I cannot thank you enough!
