A Woodland Wedding and a calf Length Vintage Inspired Wedding Dress

Tasha and Mark got married in Kent at Whested Farm in the woods, which is set in 10 acres of magical woodland. There are lots of magical nooks and open spaces to celebrate in. As this was a September wedding, Tasha knew she wanted a wedding dress that wouldn’t get dirty during their day. So she chose a calf length vintage inspired wedding dress for her wedding day.

Calf Length Vintage Inspired Wedding Dress

Tasha came to our Bexley wedding boutique with no preconceived ideas on what her dress should look like. She knew she wanted a 1950s style tea length wedding dress but that was all. The calf length vintage style wedding dress she left with was totally bespoke to her. It was a mix of two different short wedding gowns with lots of gorgeous details.

I wanted a 50s tea dress as the reception was in the woods.

The beautiful wedding dress she chose was Polly Rose by Lou lou bridal. This vintage inspired lace and polka dot wedding dress is trimmed with lace appliqué. Tasha loved the lace element so much that she had the full 1950s style skirt on her wedding dress in lace. With petticoats underneath the skirt has an amazing spin to it.

It was the best experience at the shop, they were very patient had great ideas as I had 2 dresses made into one (which was so comfortable to wear all day)

A Classic 1950s Style

Her wedding dress was Ivory and skimmed her ankles, which was ideal for the wedding day she had planned. The pretty v-neck is edged with delicate lace and the cap shoulders are very flattering. Tasha wanted to feel comfortable and confident on her wedding day. The fit of the dress made this a reality for her and she spent all day smiling.

I loved my dress as I had it made to my ankles as the reception was in the woods and didn’t want it getting dirty. (I even tried it back on a year later I loved it that much)

Finishing Off the Look

Tasha chose a sparkly sash around her waist and finished the look with a short veil and some gorgeous Irregular choice bow fronted sparkly heels. She had her hair swept up with the veil sitting low so that it touched her waist. This created a beautiful silhouette and created a very classic and timeless look.

We made it our day exactly how we wanted it in the woods (marque) with all our close friends and family even had floating sofas in the trees!!!

She carried a hand tied bouquet of roses and pastel coloured artificial blooms which she put together herself. Mark wore Morning dress with a light ivory waistcoat and pocket square. His tie was deep blue and complimented the Ivory of Tasha wedding dress.

We had the best day ever and still watch our video which is the best thing I would definitely recommend to any bride to have.
