An Essex Wedding – Satin Vintage Style Wedding Dress

Rebecca and Callum married in September in Hornchurch, Essex. Their wedding was held at St Laurence church in Upminster, with a reception at the Cranleigh which has a banqueting suite. The images of the couple were taken by Courtney Deep Photography. Rebecca chose a Satin vintage style wedding dress.

I knew I wanted a satin type dress and something with just a little bit of sparkle

Rebecca chose the stunning Harlow by True Bride and part of the Brighton Belle collection. This Satin Vintage style Tea Length 1950s Style Wedding Dress is luxurious Mikado fabric. It has a sumptuous feel and moves easily, the material is light and gives the bride to be comfort and elegance.

Brighton Belle by True Bride is a collection of modern tea length short wedding dresses with a retro feel. This vintage-inspired collection of short bridal gowns features details from the 1950’s such as satin collars, sheer sleeves and circular skirts, perfect for dancing in!

The sweetheart bodice flows into a swishy full skirt and the waist is cinched in with a sparkly belt. Rebecca chose this short wedding gown in a longer length.

When we turned up, my entourage (my mum, nan, sister, partners mum) we were offered bubbles and chocolate. I felt so comfortable and loved the experience.

Choosing The Wedding Gown

On Rebecca’s first visit to our wedding boutique in Bexley, she had decided on a beautiful sparkly short wedding dress with layers of tulle. When she came back for a second appointment she fell in love with her stunning satin vintage style wedding dress. She tried on a tea length wedding dress and opted for a bespoke option of a longer length on her wedding day.

I actually picked a dress at the beginning which was completely different to the one I ended up with. The one I picked, I got the ‘this is the one’ feeling.

This is why we make sure there is no pressure at every appointment; the bride is free to try as many wedding gowns as she wishes. We welcome second appointments so that our bride to be makes the right choice for her.

The team were so helpful, would happily recommend them to anyone. I didn’t have a short dress, I had a full length one but I loved my dress, it made me feel beautiful.

Wedding Day Details

Rebecca wore her hair up and chose a full length veil to compliment her wedding dress. She carried a bouquet of cream roses and foliage and Callum had a single rose button hole. Callum wore a morning suit accompanied by a waistcoat and pink cravat. Rebecca finished her look with some elegant and simple jewellery.

As the couple married this September, their wedding was subject to certain restrictions. They didn’t let this put a dampener on their day and were able to celebrate with those who were the dearest to them

I loved that even with the restrictions, our families rallied around us and it made the day so special, that the people we loved most could share the day with us.
