Rustic Wedding with Lace Tea-Length Wedding Dress
Jennifer shared the pictures from her wedding day and we really loved how the happy couples wedding day turned out exactly as the bride had envisaged it. She looked so beautiful in her Lace Tea-Length Wedding Dress which was ballerina length. So we’d love to share Jennifer and Jonathan’s day with you too. Sit back and enjoy the details of their wonderful wedding day.
Jonathan and Jennifer married at The Old Mill situated in rural Berkshire and surrounded by beautiful gardens. The perfect place for a rustic wedding filled with family and friends. This particular venue was close to the couples heart as Jonathan’s grandparents held their reception in the same venue some 55 years earlier.
Lace Tea-Length Wedding Dress
So what dress could do this exquisite location justice? Well of course only a dress like Rosie by True Bride. This intricately laced ballerina length was the one that stole Jennifer’s heart. With it’s full 50’s style skirt and classic details such as a lace bodice, pretty satin sash and buttons all the way to the neck.
“My experience at Cutting Edge Brides was magical and every bit how I hoped finding my wedding dress would be.”
Whenever a bride comes into our wedding boutique in Bexley, it’s always a magical moment for them. Especially if they already have their heart set on a tea length wedding dress. This was exactly the case for Jennifer.
“I always knew I wanted a 50’s style dress as I am only 5 ft 1! I have always loved the style of them and when I got engaged it was what I had my heart set on.”
This is why short wedding dresses are such a versatile choice, they give you the feel of a dramatic wedding dress but with the freedom to move.
The Brighton Belle range of short wedding dresses by True Bride are designed to impress with a real retro feel and lots of 50’s style details. So as a bride Jennifer knew she’d turn heads as she greeted her husband to be to exchange their vows.
“Jonathan said it was such a beautiful dress and I looked stunning in it, he said he had a tear in his eye as I walked down the aisle.”
A short wedding dress is lighter and not restrictive unlike some more traditional styles of wedding dress. So you know a tea length wedding dress will be great to move in and more importantly…to dance the night away in!
“Dancing in my dress… well what can I say….? the twirls I could make with the skirt”
This is exactly what Jennifer found, as she hit the dance floor for the first dance which was a Hall and Oats upbeat number. The couple chose this lively tune to match their personalities and it worked perfectly for Jennifer and her gorgeous tea length wedding dress.
“As Jonathan span me around I could see the bottom of my skirt spinning with me as though it had a mind of its own! I truly felt like a princess wearing it and I don’t think I ever felt so beautiful in my life.”
Rustic Wedding – Royal Blue and White
The couple chose vibrant royal blue set against white for their colour palette. Their three bridesmaids wore long line halter neck dresses which complimented the lace dipped V front of Jennifer’s short wedding gown.
Jennifer chose a beautiful classic hairstyle with one side swept up into a flower embossed headband. Her satin shoes peaked out from beneath her ankle length wedding dress as she moved. Jonathan wore a dashing floral style design waistcoat and silver cravat to compliment his bride.
“I think one of my favourite parts of our wedding apart from our ceremony was both sitting at the top table watching everyone and also being out in the gardens watching everyone.”
A Garden Party of Dreams
The couple made the most of the weather and the sprawling gardens with games for the guests. It was something they were able to watch and enjoy and for Jennifer she had the added benefit of Rosie being such a comfortable dress. There was no trouble moving around the gardens, no fear of tripping over her dress or getting it dirty.
“Having the style of dress I had made all the difference as I could happily move around gracefully.”
“Whilst watching everyone in the gardens, it dawned on me that it was exactly how I envisioned our day. Children playing, people laughing and having a good time and being together as family and friends to celebrate our love.”
Being able to see everyone enjoying the day was a special part of their wedding day. Having three quarter length sleeves meant that Jennifer didn’t get chilly yet the lace design of the shorter sleeves also meant she could move easily as well.
“Everyone complimented me on my dress and said how much the style suited me and they had never seen anything like it before.”
Choosing the Perfect Lace Tea-Length Wedding Dress
“Everyone was so helpful and listened to my requirements and I think the fact it didn’t take me long to find my perfect dress is a credit to how fantastic the shop is.”
