The Best Wedding Day Advice

“Take a moment to look around”

This may sound simple and slightly obvious but your wedding day will go quickly. So take a few minutes every now and again to stop and look around at your family and friends. Watch them enjoying your day and appreciate what you’ve made happen. Have a bit of time together to share the moment and see what you both achieved, it’s a lovely feeling.

“Don’t Stress about the small stuff”

With so much going on and things to sort out, it can get stressful. So trying to stay calm might be slightly difficult. Some ways you can manage this is by planning in advance. So knowing what your suppliers are doing and managing the process. After that it’s all about just letting go of the things you cant control. It doesn’t have to be perfect and it shouldn’t be so relax and enjoy.

“Fall love with your dress”

This is an essential part of your wedding day so make sure you get it right. Choosing the perfect vintage style wedding dress will make you feel amazing. We offer one to one appointments and a calm environment so you can take your time. We want you to fall in love with your short wedding dress the first time you see it.  As you are wearing it all day you need to look forward to wearing it and feel comfortable. Try it on beforehand and make sure everything feels just right.

This stunning tea length wedding dress is Harlow by Brighton Belle and is a classic and chic wedding gown. The Mikado wedding dress has a beautiful sweetheart neckline and full 1950s style skirt. It has a wonderful flow and swish as you walk and is finished with a sparkly belt. Worn here with a matching jacket and the zip up back is covered in buttons.

“Don’t listen to others advice”

Everyone will have an opinion on your wedding day, based on theirs or the ideal day. But remember this is your day and it should be your way. Don’t want speeches or a receiving line…then don’t have them. You need to be comfortable and have fun so filter out the advice you don’t need.

“It’s about the two of you”

Like above, this is all about the two of you making sure you celebrate your love. The day is centered on you as a couple and everything else is secondary. Talk to each other and be honest about how you are feeling on the day. Enjoy and have fun together as this is a wonderful first step for you both.
