Real Brides – A Stunning Calf Length Wedding Dress
A Stunning Calf Length Wedding Dress
When Keely tagged us on Instagram with her wedding pictures, we couldn’t wait to share them with you. She shared a couple of the preview images from their photographer – Laura Debourde Photography. Keely and Keith married in St Mary’s the Virgin Church, Whitelackington and had their reception at Dillington House in Somerset. This is such a romantic wedding venue with stunning gardens and a grand historic house.
I had always thought I wanted a tea length wedding dress, the shape is similar to the type of thing I usually wear, and suits my figure.
A Classic Wedding Dress
When Keely arrived at Cutting Edge Brides she thought she’d want a very detailed dress. After trying on lots of tea length wedding dresses she fell in love with one in particular that gave her a stunning silhouette. She came along with her bridesmaid and mum who helped her decided on her perfect short wedding dress.
I thought I would like something much more detailed, but when I went to the shop it was the simpler designs that I preferred on.
A Stunning Silhouette
Keely wore Amelie by Loulou Bridal which is a vintage inspired 1950s calf length wedding gown. It has beautiful silk covered in organza that skims the ankles to create a soft and full skirt. The pleated bodice is classic and uncluttered to really accentuate the brides shape.
I didn’t feel rushed at all and I was able to try on several dresses, some of them a couple of times while I made my decision. I didn’t need to visit any other bridal shops because I knew when I tried on my dress that it was the one. It was absolutely perfect for me.
Keely wore her hair up with a short veil and finished the look with some satin closed toe shoes. Keith wore a grey suite and maroon tie which matched the bridesmaids maroon short dresses.
I also really like the 50s style design and whilst I wasn’t looking for a ‘theme’, the wedding dresses that Cutting Edge sells fitted the aesthetic of the day I wanted.
The couples flowers were lovely roses with lots of greenery which was perfect for their country feel wedding. This feel was carried into their wedding venue which had a mixture of tall flower arrangements and smaller ones.
A Calm Experience
Shopping at Cutting Edge couldn’t have been better. I was really nervous but the assistant who helped me, Jaimie, was so lovely and put me at ease.
The great thing about Loulou wedding dresses is that they are created using fabrics that are light. The beautifully tailored gowns can be tweaked to fit you perfectly and you can twirl as much as you want. They are made to feel comfortable and chic whilst you wear them. Perfect for whatever style of wedding day you have planned.
I was also really impressed with the fitting appointments and the seamstress Krystina who did a fantastic job getting my dress to fit me perfectly.
