Destination Bride in a Short Wedding Dress
When you think of a destination wedding it usually involves soft sand, blue sky and wonderful backdrops for your wedding photographs. Well our real couple Lisa and Michael sent us some stunning images from their day that tick all those boxes. They married at the Riu Montego Bay hotel in Jamaica. It’s on the north east side of the island and boasts stunning white beaches and breathtaking views. We couldn’t wait to share the images taken by Xcite Photos of the day. If you are a destination bride then make sure to sit back and read all about their wonderful wedding day and look at the stunning images.
Destination Bride
Lisa originally visited with an idea of what she wanted to try beforehand. On the day she tried around 20 vintage style-wedding dresses. This is something we encourage with every bride and provide a relaxed environment to try wedding dresses on. Each appointment is one to one so that we can concentrate on what the bride to be needs and wants for her wedding day.
When I got to Cutting Edge brides they were amazing.
The short wedding dress she fell in love with was Albany by Brighton Belle. It was one of our sample tea length wedding dresses that had arrived for a show. It was only staying for one day before going back off to True Bride. So Lisa snapped it up and found her dream wedding gown.
It was Jaimie who I had my first appointment with. She was so lovely and extremely patient
Albany by True Bride is part of the Brighton Belle collection which have a real retro feel. The stunning lace trimmed high neckline gives this vintage inspired wedding dress the edge. A dramatic keyhole back finished with a button trim truly give this dress the wow factor.
I had been thinking of getting a shorter wedding dress for a while
It’s a fantastic choice for a destination bride because of the light and floaty tulle 1950s style skirt. It’s a lightweight and summery short wedding gown, perfect for the Jamaican sunshine. A pretty embellishment flows onto the skirt and sparkled in the sunshine as Lisa moved. The cap sleeves also allowed the bride to be to stay cool in the heat. The pretty silver beaded belt pulled the whole look together wonderfully.
Barefoot Bride
Lisa wore her hair loose and finished with a delicate headband and fingertip length veil. These simple and classic touches added more softness and texture to her overall look.
She did her own hair and make up and was barefoot for most of the day. She did have a pair of converse too that were blinged up with sparkle and a lasting reminder of their wedding date . Her flowers were a mixture of bright sunshine colours mixed with some darker blues.
Michael suit complimented Lisa’s outfit with a blue waistcoat and trousers and a simple white buttonhole. The couple had an intimate ceremony with close family and a stunning backdrop to celebrate their union. Their bridesmaids wore a beautiful deep blue long line gown too.
All the ladies at Cutting Edge were amazing and nothing was too much trouble, I’m so glad I went there.
