Wedding Food for your Big Day

When you are booking all the main suppliers for your wedding day, your wedding food comes high on the list. Whether you decide to go for buffet or a sit down meal, this will impact your day.  Here are some things to think about when deciding what food to serve on your wedding day.

This will really be high on the list of what you can or can’t have on your wedding day. Lots of bigger venues have their own caters or preferred supplies who will advise what is doable on the day. If you are having a real retro day where your reception is held in a church hall or smaller venue then you can try different things. This might include providing the food yourself and everyone pitching in to provide a meal. Or a dessert table that have glorious homemade cakes to try.

There is no point choosing food that doesn’t fit with the feel of the day. If you don’t like certain foods then perhaps think of not serving them to your guests.

When you have a retro wedding day you can really play around with this idea. Serve mini burgers and fries to get that 1950s feel to your day. Or something that evokes memories for you both as a couple.

Sometimes you need to take into consideration your guests and if they have any requirements. Going for something too obscure may not be the best option, lots of caters suggest you stick to some safer options. You could always have different food stations for different tastes if you wanted something really unique for your day.
