Wedding Planning – 3 Month to Go wearing a Tea Length Retro Wedding Dress

Wedding Planning

This is where the planning gets exciting as you haven’t got long left. All the big items should have been accounted for and arranged. So now it’s all the fun things. We’ve put together planning stages throughout the whole process here.
Three months to go…what do you need to think about…well the most important thing is to make sure you have your tea length retro wedding dress.

Have a Dress Fitting

You should be guided by your wedding boutique but ideally your first fitting should be around three months. Our dresses are a good fit but for any major alterations you will need to factor in time.
A Tea length retro wedding dress can be customised in most ways. From adding sleeves to amending the hemline, you can really make your dress bespoke.

Break in Your Shoes

It’s great to bring the shoes and underwear you plan on wearing on the day to your fitting. This way you can finalise what feels comfortable. At this stage in your planning its a good idea to break in your shoes. Brides spend a lot of time on their feet on the day and shoes need to be comfortable.
We are stockists of Rachel Simpson shoes which add a touch of glamour to a tea length retro wedding dress.

Finalise the Table Plan

Do some final checks with the venue that all the people you want there are accounted for. Find out the table set ups so you can finalise the table plans. Are there long tables or rounds and how many people per table? This will help you seat people and either make your table plan or send it to your stationary supplier.
There are lots of ideas on our Pinterest account for table plans and favours.

Think about Running Order

Your church, venue or registrar will be able to provide you with the running order. You’ll need to supply songs or hymns and any readings that you want. So think about what is important to you as a couple and how it all fits in to your day.
Your videographer maybe able to give you tips if you can’t of ideas or suitable songs. Again utilise the venue if you are really stuck as they are the experts.

Relax and Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff

Weddings take a lot of planning and there are often parts that are totally out of your control. So it’s important to remember that things don’t always run smoothly. Factor in contingency and everything will be fine. Also don’t concern yourself too much with the finer detail on the day. Other people won’t notice any small changes that you notice.
It’s a great idea to also practice some relaxation techniques and breathing exercises to keep you calm. The run up to your wedding day can be exciting and nerve wracking so staying in control of your emotions will help.
