Planning Your Wedding – 9 Months to go
Wedding planning is exciting as you see your day coming together. It can also become stressful when you have so many things to think about. We’ve put a plan of action together so you can see at a glance where you should be at. With 9 months to go it’s all about firming up initial plans and making sure things are running smoothly. This is a good time to decide on which vintage inspired wedding dress is the one for you.
Order Your Dress
If you haven’t already then this is the time to order your vintage inspired wedding dress. We have over 150 different short wedding dresses for you to try. This is a great time to choose the accessories to go with your dress, veils and embellishments can be purchased at the same time as your dress.
Try Charlotte by House of Mooshki: A beautiful vintage inspired wedding dress with long sleeves. The sheer back is decorated with ivory lace that flows over the arms and down the bodice. This is a gorgeous fairytale wedding gown.
Cake, Cake, Cake
Now is the time to book your cake maker, it’s exciting trying samples and finding out what you really want. We’ve posted some top tips on how to choose your wedding cake and your wedding suppliers. So let the sampling commence. Decide on your budget and find a supplier who can create the sort of cake you want.
Contact All Suppliers
Make sure that all deposits and initial plans have been sorted with all your suppliers. Great photographers and DJ’s always get booked up way in advance so you don’t want to miss out. This also takes away any uncertainty you may have leading up to the wedding.
Also check and send back any forms your registrar may want in relation to your marriage.
Now is a great time to plan and book your honeymoon. Think about what the weather will be like in your chosen country when you get married (not now). No-one wants to be in the middle of a monsoon so think strategically. If there is a place you want to go it may be a case of postponing or having a mini moon first. Also check your passports are up to date as some country’s need at least 6 months on them to let you travel.
Favours, Decorations, DIY
If you are having any DIY elements to your wedding day then now would be a good time to start preparing. It gives you time to get ready and work relatively slowly so it isn’t a big rush towards your wedding day. We have lots of diy and decorations on our blog.
Favours too need a bit of time, if you are having them supplied then it is good to source them now. Or if you are doing it yourselves then see above, it’s best to get started.
