Wedding Day Drinks Guide
Most weddings celebrate with the pop of a cork or two, from wedding toasts and the evening reception. You’ve started looking at tea length wedding dresses, booked the venue and started to think of the catering. But have you thought about what drinks you’ll offer your guests on the day? We have a wedding day drinks guide from a wedding drinks specialist to help you keep the party going.
Wedding Drinks Specialist – Oh! Prosecco
We asked Liz from Oh! Prosecco for her top tips on wedding day drinks. The Oh! Prosecco stunning Piaggio Ape has been converted into a stylish Prosecco and Cocktail van to hire for parties, events and celebrations.
“When planning a Wedding, it is vital that you get the catering spot on. Whether the occasion is formal or informal, keeping the drinks flowing will certainly keep your guests happy!”
Move Over Champagne
“Prosecco is an Italian Sparkling wine and a great alternative to Champagne, outselling the french bubbles for the last three years. Premuim Prosecco is grown from the Glera grape on South facing hills in the Veneto region of Northern Italy.”
So you don’t have to stick to a traditional drink of champagne as prosecco can now rival it in taste and price. So raise a toast using this bubbly alternative to really wow your guests on your wedding day.
“Prosecco can be served as welcome drinks, to toast the Bride and Groom and as a party drink for evening celebrations”
Make the drinks menu work for you – offer drinks that appeal to you as the bride and your groom. After all you’ll need a sip or two to celebrate your big day too. This also allows you to please the majority of your guests by offering popular choices without compromising.
“Prosecco is a great base for exciting cocktails too including, Aperol Spritz, Pink Gin Fizz, Bellini, Negroni and Prosecco Royale”
Having a signature drink at your wedding day can be a fun way to make the day truly yours. A great start is finding a drink that is light and refreshing and the cocktails above certainly fit that bill. It’s also an idea to have a second bar station at your wedding so that their isn’t a backlog and helps guests spread out.
We have an array of decorations and lighting for our Prosecco van, which especially brings some ambience to evening events. We can provide fresh flowers, candles and other styling items to create a focal point and is ideal for photo opportunities. If you’d like to find out more about Oh! Prosecco visit their website or Facebook page.
Retro Wedding Dress
Plus wouldn’t it make for a great photo, standing next to this gorgeous retro van in your short wedding dress. These little vans were first produced in 1948 so perfectly fitting for a 1950s themed wedding and great with a vintage style wedding dress.
The gorgeous ‘Tilly’ by Brighton Belle, is a vintage inspired tea length gown featuring an off the shoulder Bardot covered in a beautiful lace appliqué. This dress showcases a slim beaded waistband and lace appliqué skirt. Fastened with a zip and button trim. A very retro dress that would look stunning on your wedding day.
