Real Weddings – A Wonderfully Intimate Cornish Affair
A Wonderfully Intimate Cornish Affair
Small Weddings don’t get better than a ceremony in caverns and a reception at a clifftop luxury hotel. Our bride Shelley wore a bespoke 1950’s style tea length wedding dress. The groom Danny also looked dashing in blue.
Their wedding ceremony was at Carnglaze Caverns in Cornwall. Where they had a small, low key and very personal wedding with only twenty guests. The reception was held at The Headland Hotel, a stunning luxury hotel on the clifftops of Newquay.
These beautiful images were captured by Toby Lowe Photography who is a local Cornish wedding photographer. Other images shared are from family and friends.
“I did know that I wanted a 50’s style tea dress so went (on my own) to cutting edge brides as I knew they specifically stocked them”
1950’s Style Tea Length Wedding Dress
Shelley’s dress is the amazing Bella from Lou Lou Bridal which is a favourite with our brides. The wedding dress is a vintage inspired tea length with ivory lace over a pale blue dress. The narrow satin bow belt detail really sets this dress off. This dress usually has cap sleeves but it wasn’t how Shelley envisaged her dream dress so she had it customised. As you will see, our seamstress created a stunning strapless wedding dress for Shelley which looks amazing on her.
“Suzanne was great , very patient & when I couldn’t find the exact style I wanted , she suggested I had the one I liked the most adapted by her in-house seamstress”
Shelley looked simply stunning and we wish the happy couple the best wishes for married life.
