A festival vibe and a vintage inspired wedding dress
Linda and Mark got married in Bristol Registry Office surrounded by their loved ones. The couple met and fell in love at a festival and wanted to bring that vibe to their wedding day. Linda chose a stunning vintage inspired wedding dress and Mark a 60s style suit. Their day was captured by their guests and we can’t wait to share it all with you.
I knew I wanted a vintage dress. I felt dressed up and special, but it was also casual.
A Vintage Inspired Wedding Dress
Linda arrived at our boutique knowing that she wanted a vintage inspired wedding dress. The couple had already decided on a festival wedding theme, having met and fell in love at one. So her requirements for a short wedding dress were that it had to feel relaxed yet dressed up enough.
I wanted to wear Converse, so I knew that a short dress would work. We wanted it to be informal, and it was festival themed.
Sara by True Bride Brighton Belle collection was exactly what she wanted. This tulle tea length wedding dress has a plunged v bodice and pretty tulle sleeves. It has vintage inspired beading encrusted on the sleeves that then cascades onto the bodice and into the full circle skirt.
Brighton Bell tea length wedding dresses have a retro feel to them and lots of 1950s style features. The collection is light and fun and so easy to move around in and perfect for dancing in.
Wedding Day Details
On the day Linda teamed her vintage inspired wedding dress with red petticoats that created a show-stopping look. She wore a pair of wedding converse shoes with red laces.
I wore a red petticoat. I loved it. Everyone commented on it.
Mark wore a two-tone suit which paid homage to his past as a Mod in the 1960s. He wore a single button hole and a pocket square to finish off the look.
My husband used to be a MOD, so we were going for the look. Mark had a two tone 60s style suit.
As well as being given away by her 9yr old grandson, Linda told us the story of how she met Mark. The couple met at a festival 10 months before they got married, Mark had helped her move her belongings from the car to the campsite with a wheelbarrow. They fell in love and moved in together four weeks later. As a surprise and to remind them both of the day they met, Linda presented an artist drawn wheelbarrow to her new husband.
