A Kent Wedding – Lace Short Wedding Gown

Michaela and David got married in March at Danson House in Bexley. This is a historic grade II Mansion house surrounded by gorgeous parkland and a lake. Their spring wedding was full of colour and the couple celebrated with family and friends. Michaela wore a stunning lace short wedding gown. Michaela knew she wanted to wear a short wedding dress and once her mum and friend both drove past our Bexley Boutique and spotted one of our gorgeous designer wedding dresses in the window she decided to pay us a visit.

[They] said the dress in the window was perfect for me so it only felt right!

Once in our boutique, she tried on a few short wedding dress designs to get a feel for what she would like. The second dress was the one she fell in love with and it also had a name that made it feel even more perfect.

The second dress I tried on was perfect and it was called MAE that was perfect as its my mum and sisters middle name!

Michaela chose Mae by Timeless Chic which is a beautiful lace short wedding gown. It has a fitted bodice with lace neckline and elbow length sleeves. The tea length wedding dress has a drop waist which accentuates the curves. The full 1950’s style skirt with the hemline of scallop lace is very flattering.

Wedding Day details

It’s important for our brides to feel comfortable and relaxed so that they can make the best decision for them. We are on hand to suggest ways to make each wedding gown bespoke for the bride to be. Most of our designer short wedding dresses are available in a variety of lengths and colours. So there is a perfect wedding dress for every bride. We also have a fantastic seamstress who can make alterations to add more elements or change the dress to fit really well.

Micaela wore her hair down and carried a vibrant bouquet of roses and gypsophila. She wore a pastel pair of studded t-bar shoes that complimented the wedding colours perfectly.

I always wanted a short dress, so cutting edge brides was the perfect pick for me!

The Wedding Party

David wore a navy three piece suit and a pink tie, as did his groomsmen. Michaela’s bridesmaid wore a pretty pastel long line dress. The button holes all echoed Michaela’s bouquet with a single pink rose and some gypsophila.

Best part of my wedding day was seeing everyone I love in one room and feeling amazing in the dress that was perfect for me!
