A Riverside Wedding – Classic Tea Length Wedding Dress
Louise and Adrian got married in historic Greenwich on a bright November day. They chose the Trafalgar Tavern which sits on the River Thames with stunning views across the water; the couple’s photographer John Erskine was able to take some brilliant images. Louise chose an elegant and classic tea length wedding dress on the big day so read on to find out all the details of their day.
Classic Tea Length Wedding Dress
Louise first came to our Bexley wedding boutique with her mum and mother in law to be. She knew she wanted a short wedding dress but no particular preference in style to start with.
I had a wonderful appointment when choosing my dress. I also wanted a classic style something simple and elegant.
Louise did know that she wanted a classic tea length wedding dress that was simple and stylish. She tried on several short wedding dresses in different lengths and styles and she loved a satin tea length bridal gown.
I was pretty sure that I wanted a shorter wedding dress, I tried on the longest one in the shop to start with but the shorter we went the happier I felt.
The Short Wedding Dress
With all our brides to be, Louise was the only bride in our bridal boutique for her appointment. So this meant that we could really concentrate on her needs and help her find the right tea length wedding dress for her. The wedding dress that she chose was Callie by Lou Lou Bridal which is an elegant satin wedding gown. The off the shoulder detail on the neckline flows into a fitted bodice and full circle skirt. The clean lines really enhance the silhouette and Louise finished it with blue satin belt.
We were instantly set at ease, able to browse the dresses and choose as many as I wanted to try on so didn’t feel rushed and the bubbles certainly helped as well!
Lou Lou Bridal create stunning retro style wedding dresses with a modern twist. They are a British award winning wedding dress label, creating beautiful vintage inspired bridal gowns.
The Wedding Day Details
Louise wore a birdcage veil fastened to an Alice band and finished with a satin bow. She chose a stunning deep blue feather bolero that matched her belt and her full blue petticoats. This really emphasised her classic tea length wedding dress. Her shoes were peacock blue heels and she had a bouquet of red roses and calla lilies. Adrian wore a navy suit, a stone waistcoat with a red tie and a single red calla lilly. This all tied in with the theme for the day.
I felt amazing, I was able to move around comfortably on the day and most importantly able to do a good twirl on the dance floor.
The couple celebrated with family and friends from near and far. As the venue was close for the couple, they felt even more comfortable and their day was full of joy and happiness.
We loved the fact that we were able to get married in such a historic venue
