A Seaside Wedding – Kilts and a Polka Dot Alternative Wedding Dress
Jade and Gavin got married in Deal Kent on a beautiful sunny day in mid May. Theirs was a truly seaside wedding with Kilts and a Polka Dot alternative wedding dress. Enjoy their day that was filled with lots of fun and sunshine along with some stunning images as you’ll see that were captured by their photographer Olegs Samsonovs.
Choosing a Tea Length Polka Dot Wedding Dress
The couples wedding was at St Saviour’s Church in the heart of Deal followed by a reception at The Court Yard. This quirky venue is close to the seafront so the lucky couple got to walk between their ceremony and reception as a newly married couple.

We walked along the seafront to our venue and people stopped us to congratulate us and take photos
Jade came to the boutique after trying and ruling out traditional style wedding dresses. As is often is the case with our brides, she was looking for something with a little different that represented her personality and style.

I definitely knew that was I after a short dress due to my height and having tried on traditional dresses they were not for me.
An alternative wedding dress…
The dress that caught her attention was Winne by Loulou Bridal it’s a stunning Lace over Tulle 1950s Inspired tea length short wedding dress with a rounded Bateau Illusion neckline. You will notice that it has a delicate polka dot design running through the bodice and onto the full skirt. It’s a truly pretty dress up close as well as from a distance with lots of beautiful details and embellishments that catch the eye. The slightly off the shoulder capped sleeves are very flattering for the neckline and softens the overall look of the wedding dress.

A friend had a wedding dress from you and it was stunning so we decided to come and see what they were like. I arrived with my mum and aunt and we were like children in a sweet shop choosing dresses to try on
Why Wear a Tea Length Wedding Dress…

Brides to be often realise that wearing a non-traditional wedding dress allows them more freedom. Short wedding gowns are a versatile choice for moving between venues. Wearing a knee-length wedding dress also allows a bride to show off other elements of their outfit too. Not forgetting that they get to spin around on the dance floor at their wedding reception.
I was spoilt for choice but knew that my dress was the one once trying it. Wearing my dress made me feel a million dollars
Jade wore an ivory full petticoat for the daytime and changed into a hot pink alternative for the evening reception. It’s a great way to keep the look fresh throughout the entire day. Allowing you to have a little fun with your look. She carried a bright hand tied bouquet that brought all the colours of their day together.

I loved twirling and seeing the dresses spin. In the evening I changed the petticoat for a pink and loved dancing the night away in it

Gavin wore a traditional kilt, a purple necktie and single rose button hole which was mirrored in his best-mans attire. Jade’s bridesmaid wore a stunning dress and a matching petticoat to the bride’s.

Jade chose ivory Mary Jane shoes for her look and had her hair in a low swept up bun. It was enhanced with a hair embellishment at the back, it was a beautifully elegant and classic look.

I knew that everyone would be looking at me and I didn’t mind as I felt so special and beautiful. I wanted a dress that was easy to wear, comfortable and could enjoy all day.

We wanted our wedding to be a celebration and a party and that it definitely was.
