Things To Do After Your Wedding
Getting married is a very exciting process and it’s all focused on your big day. Once your wedding is over it’s time to relax and soak it all in. There are a few things to think about and we’ve put together a list of things to do after your wedding.
Things to Do After Your Wedding
Getting Your Wedding Dress Cleaned
If you are thinking of keeping your short wedding dress stored it’s a good idea to get it cleaned. The great thing about a tea length wedding dress is that your hemline won’t be dirty. But to keep it at it’s best take it to a dry cleaners sooner rather than later.
Polly by Timeless Chic is a wonderful calf length vintage style wedding dress. With a beautiful lace overlay on the bodice which is echoed on the ¾ length sleeves. The full 1950s tulle skirt has lace embellishments on it. This is a great wedding dress and can be stored in a clothing bag or protective box after your wedding.
It may seem like a huge task but getting round to the thank you cards just after the wedding is ideal. This way you are still buoyed up by the whole day and can remember what presents were brought and by whom.
Check in with Suppliers
Making sure that everything hired was returned properly will ensure you don’t receive any surprise invoices. It’s a lovely idea to put reviews on their social media platforms to help other couples. It’s also a lovely way of keeping the memory of your day alive too.
We love seeing our brides on their wedding day and featuring the pictures on our ‘real brides’ blog posts. So please do get in touch as we’d love to hear from you after your wedding.
If you are going on honeymoon soon then it’s a great idea to get packed. That way you’ll avoid any last minute panic buys that were forget in the wedding planning stages. If you are waiting for your honeymoon then do a bit of research of things to do whilst you are away. This is a great way to deal with the post wedding blues because it gives you something to look forward to.
All those little touches from your wedding day can be kept save in a keepsake box. Wedding cards, one of your favours and dried flowers will all evoke memories for you. This is great to look through in the years that pass and remember what a great day it was.
Change Your Name
If you’ve decided to change your name then you will need to change documents and accounts. So make a list of insurance, banks and even workplace email addresses that could need changing. Then you can work through them until they are all done.
Spend Time Together
Lastly don’t forget to enjoy each other’s company in the days and weeks after your wedding. Reminisce on the great day you had is a lovely way to relieve it from a different perspective. Share with your family and friends too. Celebrate and relax as your wedding planning probably took up a lot of your time pre wedding.
