Getting Married – 6 Months to Go…
With six months to go, it should start to feel real as your planning ramps up a gear. There are lots of small jobs that can keep you busy. By now you’ve already ordered your beautiful tea length wedding dress. Keeping ahead when it comes to planning means you’ll be prepared and won’t lose sight of why you are doing all this planning. We’ve put together some top tips on planning your wedding with 6 months to go.
Pick your invites and stationary
Getting your stationary for the wedding sorted now will allow you to send out the invites with enough time. Usually invitations are sent out 6 to 8 weeks before the wedding. This gives people time to get themselves sorted.
Plan your honeymoon
Make sure your passports are in date and start researching or booking any excursions you may want to go on. This gives you something to focus on when the wedding is over.
Plan your guest list
Sit down and go through your guest lists to make sure you’ve got everyone and you know who to send the invites to (correct names and addresses). Have a little think about table plans and place settings but you don’t have to have these tied down at this stage.
Choose bridesmaids dresses
There are so many gorgeous styles that go with a short wedding dress. We’ve blogged about some different looks you can go for when it comes to bridesmaids dresses, especially if you are wearing a short wedding gown.
Organise hair and make up trials
You may be wearing a veil with your tea length wedding dress or a head piece. So it’s a great time to look on Pinterest and find out what sort of style you may like. We have lots of inspiration on our Pinterest boards for styles that compliment a tea length wedding dress.
Plan your Hen / Stag do
Think about whether you want to have a hen night or weekend away somewhere. There are lots of options available for you to choose from. We’ve blogged about a few on a recent blog post ‘What is your hen night style?‘
